Hope everyone is well during these turbulent times. I thought I’d start off with a question I recalled being asked by a friend one dinner “where did you get your jeans from? how did you get it so ‘short?'”.

I interpreted the question as, ‘how did you find a pair that fits you well and you didn’t even fold it up?’.

I chuckled and answered, “Uniqlo”, one of my absolute favourite stores where I can spend a whole day walking around in. We talked a bit more with me revealing many reasons why it’s my favourite and one of the main reasons is because of a service they offer.

For the longest time I thought everyone knew about the awesome service Uniqlo offered. But to my surprise, whenever I mention this service everyone around me responds with the same response – “really?!? I didn’t know that!”. So for those in the know, great! But for those who are not in the know.. welcome to the club!

Uniqlo..drum roll… offers free alteration for pants..yes FREE (for both men and women, T&Cs apply). This free service is just awesome! The longest I have ever had to wait for completion of the service was one day (I came back to pick up my items the next day) and the shortest, 30 minutes. All you need to do is ask the change room assistant you would like to get your pants shortened and they will spend a few minutes with you pinning it up to your preferred length. Once pinned they will give you a slip and you can proceed with payment. At the counter just let the sales assistant know that you have requested the pants to be altered and they will let you know when you can come back for your item.

Being a petite I am always needing to shorten my pants and when you can get it done for free its just a bonus!
